Lacquering provides an opaque and uniform finish, while varnishing keeps the natural grain of the wood visible. The technique is chosen according to the aesthetics you are looking for and the protection that the piece needs from daily use, humidity or light.
This service applies to both new furniture and existing pieces that need to be renewed, and is usually combined with other carpentry services when a piece also requires some prior repair.
How we work
Measurement and visit
We assess the piece or surface in your space or in our workshop to determine the condition of the wood. From this we determine the most appropriate type of finish for each case.
Design
We define together the colour, texture and degree of gloss of the lacquer or varnish. We take into account the use that will be given to the piece and the environment in which it will be located.
Manufacturing in the workshop
We apply the lacquering or varnishing process in the workshop, in several layers. Each layer needs its drying time before applying the next, to achieve a uniform and resistant finish.
Installation
Once the finish is dry, we bring the piece back and put it in place, or we deliver it ready to install. We check that the color and texture match what had been agreed.
